Mom Of Slain Former SEAL Killed In Libya Lashes Out At Romney (Video)

CD, as a 100% Obama supporter, and a member of the 47% Mitt talked about like I am "less than", I certainly do NOT need help in debating! I think I am intelligent enough to do so. I do have an MS in Psychology, and a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society! And, I am forced to be in the 47%, as I am on a disability pension from the VA! Obviously, Mitt does not care about us vets that are not up to his standards!

And my post were long for the exact reason of your last comment. "Obama will say anything to get votes, too".

I tried to show you that he HAS gone way above others in caring for our veterans. He also had a grandfather that served during WWII, and Biden's son is in the military now, AND served in the Iraq war. None of Romney's family EVER served, or WILL ever serve in the military, so YES, there is a difference! One side knows sacrifice and wants our troops home, and the other side wants to continually stay in a combat zone somewhere sacrificing our men and women for POWER!!

Did you not watch the debate where Biden said we WILL be out of Afghanistan and Ryan argued we needed to stay in? PLEASE READ WHAT I POSTED ABOVE!

CD, you are being VERY condescending! As it was pointed out, my response was to show Obama has done a lot! And while I might be new to this particular web site, I do post on others, and at the ripe old age of 62 (next month), I have lived long enough, and researched long enough to understand some things!

And OH MY GOODNESS.........LOOK AT ALL THE WEB SITES YOU POSTED! SPAM? Or just wet noodles?

And if you do not know the difference between a man who cares for us (Obama), especially the military, and a COWARD (Romney) YOU SIR, HAVE A PROBLEM!

Thanks Peking Duck....why am I suddenly hungry??

And Willard, The quote you posted gives me chills, as it shows Mitt's memory issues! If he could not remember this man and introduced himself 4 times, and the gathering was not that big, how can he remember what to do in the WH? He also changes his story daily on where he stands on issues and has had to have his staff come out and say, NO Mitt did not mean that.....He has a HUGE memory problem and I personally do not want someone in the WH with dementia! Mitt scares me, as he wants to take us back to the Bush days, roll back care for people, and at the same time, do away with the estate tax so he can give 50 million to each son. I would not mind doing away with the estate tax, IF out debts were not huge and Mitt was not hiding most of his money off shore and NOT paying his fair share of taxes! And the plans by the Mormons if he gets in, scares the hell out of me as well!

CaliforniaDefender........this is NOT spam. If you are NOT a part of the solution, then you must be a part of the problem! I spent a long time putting that together, as I research all of the time. And I so hope you served your country, and are not a Romney supporter that likes deaths of others while hiding as a COWARD!

And how in the hell can you say Obama tossed out vets? Did you just not open your eyes? He at least is trying to bring our troops home and does not wants more deaths. That is a HUIGE difference form the other side!

FOR GOD'S SAKE.........READ WHAT I WROTE.........OBAMBA CARES!!!!!!!!!

Thanks-----I spent a long time researching and putting it together. I agree that Obama has not been perfect; however, I think if they would quit fighting in DC and Congress stop leaving town so damn much, more could get done. I do realize that it is easy to say one thing on the election trail, but when one is faced with realties sitting at that desk, it can make you go in a different direction. My fear with Mitt, besides flip flopping on every single issue, is his wanting us in a war so bad, he is willing to add over a trillion dollars to our deficit in order to build up our military more. Since he, nor any member of his family has ever, or will ever, serve, it is horrible he wants more wars! He actually said we could have two at a time and did not understand why Obama got us out of Iraq.

I understand about Afghanistan, we should have been there instead of Iraq, but Bush was hell bent on going, regardless of the truth. Just like I knew before he was elected what would happen, and I warned my family, I know what will happen if Mitt gets in.........Our VA system will fall apart, as with us baby boomers, and those coming back now, are already stretching it to the limit...and Mitt wants more wounded! Send his damn sons first!

Thanks! I am very scared of what will happen if Mitt gets in..............to increase our budget for defense over a trillion, and this is a so called pacifist? He will certainly have to cut something, but it will not be the estate tax, as he wants to leave each son 50 million and does not want them to suffer...........but food stamps, housing, our veteran pensions, Medicare, and SS are all on the chopping block! Oh, but then we are in the 47%!

So Jed and fellow republicans........Romney is using that man to make himself look like he has a heart and cares for our military. If he cares so much, why did he PROTEST for the war and then hide? And why did he state his sons were already serving their country by helping him get elected, therefore they will not do military duty? How man more men, women, brothers, fathers, husbands, etc., will die if he gets in? He USED that story of a Navy Seal to make him look like he cares......He will sell you to the Taliban if he felt he could get a reward out of it! Please do your homework before you vote for this evil man..............and PLEASE read up on what the Mormon church will do if "the Chosen one gets in" It is in their history!

Part Six
• Transition to the Private Sector: The Department of Labor will establish a new initiative to deliver an enhanced career development and job search service package to transitioning veterans at their local One-Stop Career Centers. The Office of Personnel Management will create a “Best Practices” Manual for the private sector to help businesses identify and hire veterans.
• Expand Ground Forces to Meet Military Needs and Improve Quality of Life: Increasing end strength in the Army and Marine Corps will help units retrain and re-equip properly between deployments, reduce the strain on military families, and help put an end to stop loss. We also plan to halt end strength reductions in the Air Force and Navy.
• Lighten Burdens on Our Brave Troops and Their Families: Those in uniform are not the only ones who serve; military families are a top priority for this Administration. The President has announced plans to raise military pay and continue providing quality child-care, job-training for spouses, and expanded counseling and outreach to families that have known the separation and stress of war. First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden have launched the Joining Forces initiative to mobilize all sectors of society to give our service members and their families the opportunities and support they have earned.

“Senate Republicans on Thursday blocked the No.1 item on the president's congressional "to-do-list," refusing to allow a vote on a bill that would give tax breaks for companies that "insource" jobs to the U.S. from overseas while eliminating tax deductions for companies that move jobs abroad. The Bring Jobs Home Act would provide a 20% tax break for the costs of moving jobs back to the United States and would rescind business expense deductions available to companies that are associated with the cost of moving operations overseas. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, had warned Democrats before the vote that his party would want to amend the bill -- possibly with hot-button issues like repealing the health care reform law or extending the Bush-era tax cuts for all income levels. (Punishing Obama and rewarding the rich. NOT caring about our veterans and if any cuts or fees raised to balance the budget) July/2012
During the four hour meeting:
The senior GOP members plotted to bring Congress to a standstill regardless how much it would hurt the American Economy by pledging to obstruct and block President Obama on all legislation.

Part Five
• “VA will work closely with our federal partners to implement the executive order immediately, and continue to expand access to the high-quality mental health care services our veterans have earned and deserve,” Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki said in a statement.
• The president ordered the Pentagon to review and rank its mental health and substance abuse prevention programs by quality and effectiveness. “By the end of Fiscal Year 2014, existing program resources shall be realigned to ensure that highly ranked programs are implemented across all of the military services and less effective programs are replaced,” the order states.

• That forces the Pentagon to take ownership of the programs military-wide instead of allowing each service to decide on its own what programs to use. Reviewing the vast and disparate programs will be a big task and could lead to kickback from the services, which are protective of their programs.
• In addition, the president is convening a Military and Veterans Mental Health Interagency Task Force to present him with recommendations in 180 days on how to improve treatment services.
VA Services
• We all share the shame of well over one hundred thousand veterans going homeless on any given night. This Administration will work on pilot programs with not-for-profit organizations to make sure that veterans at risk of losing their homes have a roof over their heads.
• Finally, this Administration recognizes that our veterans deserve something more -- an equal chance to reach for the very dream they defend. This Administration is committed to providing the resources to effectively implement the Post-9/11 GI Bill – providing every returning service member with a real chance to afford a college education.
• A Challenge to the Private Sector to Hire or Train 100,000 Unemployed Veterans or Their Spouses by the End of 2013: The President will challenge businesses to commit to hire or provide training to unemployed veterans or their spouses. Joining Forces will lead this work with businesses and industry.
• Presidential Call for a Career-Ready Military: The Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs, working closely with other agencies and the President’s economic and domestic policy teams, will lead a new task force to develop reforms to ensure that every member of the service receives the training, education, and credentials they need to transition to the civilian workforce or to pursue higher education. These reforms will include the design of a “reverse bootcamp,” which will extend the transition period to give service members more counseling and guidance and leave them career-ready.

Part Four
• With Secretary Shinseki, the President will make sure the VA provides veterans the best care possible. This means improved care for poly-trauma, vision impairment, prosthetics, spinal cord injury, aging, and women's health.
• Because the nightmares of war don't always end when our loved ones return home, this Administration will work to meet the mental health needs of our veterans. Untold thousands of servicemen and women and veterans suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or other serious psychological injury. This Administration is determined to address the challenges of caring for those affected by PTSD when they return home.
• Because thousands of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans have suffered from Traumatic Brain Injury, one of the signature injuries of these wars, this Administration will continue to improve services for cognitive injuries and ensure our veterans receive the on-going care they need. and the President supports advance appropriations for the VA budget so that healthcare for veterans is not hindered by budget delays.
• Obama is instructing the VA to ensure that any veteran with suicidal thoughts is seen by a mental health professional within 24 hours — a standard already set for the VA, but which the department often fails to meet.
• To help the understaffed VA meet that ambitious requirement — there are areas of the country where the dearth of psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers means veterans wait months for appointments — the order directs the VA to partner with the Department of Health and Human Services to tap into community services to help meet demand. The two agencies will create 15 pilot sites in underserved areas by contracting with local facilities. They’ve also been ordered to develop a plan for rural areas, which are lacking in all health services. The plan is to include a way for areas to share mental health providers.
• The VA said in June it had put together a 21-person, in-house recruiting team to work on these issues.
• The executive order also reiterates a VA plan to hire more mental health care providers. However, there is a nationwide shortage and the VA has struggled over the years to lure professionals to work for them.
• The VA has until June 2013 to figure out how to fix that issue with pay, loan repayment, scholarships and partnerships with community-based providers and training programs. The goal, announced by the VA in June, is to hire 1,900 mental health staffers.
• The VA is also being told to increase the veteran crisis hotline capacity by 50 percent by the end of year and to develop a national 12-month suicide prevention campaign that would help connect veterans to mental health services.
