City Finds More Money For San Diego Opera

Angela, do we know if they also restored the SDO's credit rating? Previously, they reduced it from 4 to 0, and in by so doing, denied the SDO the ability to even apply for a grant next year.

Supporters Confident They Can Raise Funds For New Central Library

The thrust of my comment is to all of the new building projects in general, but I am in favor of the new library, and believe it is worth whatever the public costs may be. That said, I feel the city government is being disingenuous in their portrayal of all of these projects, in that they don't seem to be addressing the long-term implications of cost to the taxpayers(I understand there is an exception regarding the library). As for the plan for moving the Chargers downtown, I heard just yesterday on KPBS about how there is evidence the move downtown has hurt attendance at Padre's games. Isn't the left hand paying attention to the right hand?
