Feds Inspect San Onofre's Cyber Security Training Amid Years of Employee Complaints

Of course this would all be a moot point if we just keep the plant shut down, start the decommissioning process (bad/expensive enough!) and help the few brave politicians pushing for Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) to create a MUCH greener utility to compete with the utilities' monopolies. See sandiegoenergydistrict.org for more info on CCA. Still waiting . . . .

Supervisor Jacob, Senator Kehoe Battle It Out Over Fire Fee

This attitude seems to be: "Why should we have to help pay for the cow, when we can continue to get the milk (almost) for free from the State and our surrounding agencies?" Ten million dollars a year for the size of the unincorporated area in San Diego County (with one of the most acute fire threats in the state) is far below what most other Counties in the State spend for Fire Prevention/Protection.

California Legislators Suspend Requirements of Public Meeting Law

How much could it possibly cost to publish them on their website then twitter the notice of the posting or allow interested parties to subscribe to updates? Just because they want to save money on printing and publishing notices/minutes, etc. doesn't mean that they can get away with giving no notice whatsoever. This is the 21st Century, last I checked, zeroes and ones are pretty cheap and most of us have given up pen and paper and gone digital already.
But heck, just think of how much suspending Habeas Corpus or Due Process would save? Is this not the slippery slope?
