A $40,000 sniper machine gun huh? Many rifles with scopes CAN be classified as "Sniper Rifles" In world war 2 soldiers used the Springfield M1, then the British Enfield rifle. During 'Nam soldiers used a Remington 700, some still do today. Machine gun? I think not. While the military does have a .50 cal machine gun, it is NOT a sniper rifle. The Barrett .50 cal is (at most) a semi automatic weapon. The Barret .50 cal goes for about $4000 on the American market. I doubt the Cartel would pay 10 times that for a .50 cal. Remington 700 in 30.06 makes a great 1000 yard rifle. You don't really need to be any further than that.Marine snipers RARELY take a shot at more than 1500 yards. PLUS the 700 is available for under $1000, and you can still afford to shoot it at about .75 cents a round compared to $4.00 - $5.00 per round.
Baja California Police Detain Man With Sniper Rifle
Forgot to mention, The Rifle its self is not armor piercing, its the ammo.
