Adams Avenue Street Fair Rocks Normal Heights

Adams Ave. Street Fair was a great way to spend the weekend. A great combination of food, fun, and music. For me, kettle corn and hawaiian ice are a must at these kind of events. I was lucky enough to find a vendor that did both! I did notice a lack of variety with some of the same food vendors repeating themselves in other locations 2 or or 3 times.

Many of the local eateries enjoyed robust business - even more so if they had a/c on the hot days. Also their pricing had much more value. Most of the food in the fair was either $4 for single item or $8 for a combo. $3-5 for drinks. The 7-11 was doing tremendous business. The local dining had better food @ better prices. I will definitely be going back to the Greek place!

Vodka Ad Combines Art And A Sacred Joy Division Song

The ad is both visually and musically stimulating. Absolut is well known for distinctive advertising created by TBWA Worldwide. This version of "Ceremony" paired with the imagery gives it a tone and feel that seperates it from some of the more testosterone-driven liquor ads. In the beginning it's not obvious that it is an ad for vodka. @ first I thought it might be a new ad for Prius or Subaru with their conservationist/humanist stylings.

It's definitely eye catching - the hallmark of good advertising.
