When I think KPBS, of course Gloria Penner comes to mind; and her Editor's Roundtable is public radio at its finest. It may be a bit too ambitious in its one hour format, however, since "we've got to move along" is a constant interrupter of the flow of information... and the unnecessary musical "bridges", reminders of phone numbers for those calling in and incessant station promos and identification (we all know we are listening to "listener-supported" KPBS), sap the program of both its valuable time and its momentum. Why can't we have such an important and informative forum utilize the full hour of its allotted time for a most unique and compelling perspective on current events, not otherwise available on KPBS?
