The Motivation of Nathan Fletcher And His Political Metamorphosis

Having been a "middle of the road" policy guy all my life, I am always intrigued by this effort to pigeon hole people as Democrats or Republicans - and the perception that there is a "middle of the road." I can say from personal experience that THERE IS NO MIDDLE OF THE ROAD on most major issues. Rather, what we are seeing now is people willing to "drive on BOTH sides of the road" - usually, like myself, business oriented when it comes to jobs and the economy, but willing to tax profits, regulate environmental concerns and ensure the broadest definition of civil rights at the same time. The inability of the political parties to deal with this emerging "middle" is what's driving the incredible increase in "decline to state" voters, like myself.

Few Protections Against Secondhand Smoke In California Apartments

My partner and I have been having this problem - the smell of smoke is sometimes strong in our apartment - and neither of us smokes. More concerning to me is the potential for second hand smoke issues. Our condo association said it is "our problem to solve" - which was not helpful.
