Yes, that would work if there were jobs down there or a great transportation system to get people from the border to their jobs in other areas without having to make three transfers and plan for two to three hours to get any where. But we have to be realistic about the situation.
Why don't they deserve to have a place to live off the streets? Most of us are just a paycheck away from being homeless ourselves. It's not about the real estate or the fact that it is a downtown condo, its about helping people help themselves to get back on their feet.
