"Maintain our education and quality of life." Our education is currently the rated in the bottom 20%. Our teachers are the second highest paid teachers in the US. If you reduced their salary 20% they would still be the second highest teachers in the US. Oh, and the drop out rate is 50%.
Quality of life--top three US highest income tax, sales tax, and gas tax. And a boat load of "fees" on top of that. Again, I'm tapped out.
$50 million plus a year for illegal alien college grants. Billions for the "high" speed rail boondoogle. Millions in raises for University presidents. No Jerry, you' re not taking one more cent from me. I'm taxed out.
First it ain't "high speed rail." This boondoggle was sold as costing $30 billion, 70% private money and 30% public, with an understanding that the time between LA & San Francisco would be 2 hours 40 minutes. Now it's $65 billion (yeah right), minimum of 3 and 1/2 hours to SF and all private money. It's no longer high-speed, but mixed with regular trains. This was clearly a bill of goods sold to an unknowing public that violates the public's vote and will be stopped in the court--and good riddance.
I'm just listening now and I'm trying to figure out why the first thing the moderator did was take that pointless phone call from Alan. The quote from Martin Luther King had nothing to do with the topic--gun control for individuals.
This is the tease on KPBS homepage for this segment, "Escondido Police criticized for its practice of using DUI checkpoints to identify and deport undocumented residents."
Uh, shouldn't that be its "alleged" practice or has KPBS decided they're guilty? Talk about bias.
The link was incorrect. At least for my Windows 7 IE 9 browser. I stumbled on the correct link when at the Comic Con home page. All of a sudden there was a green button to click. I got number 42,000 and that just isn't going to make it.
I believe they should go to a lottery system with the ability to buy 4, not 6, ID passes.
Are some of you aware that the President has decided to simply secede some of US land to illegal aliens and drug runners? There are parts of Pipe Organ National Park that are off limits to American Citizens. Signs are posted warning us to stay out. While we're helping people reclaim their countries in foreign lands we have decided to give up American land to Mexican citizens. How can this possibly be right? Isn't the main function of our government to defend our land from foreign invaders?

Are we sure this isn't because they don't expect to have it up and running for a long time?
