Sleeping Pills Linked To Higher Risk For Cancer, Death

I hate to say it, but listening to Dr. Kripke is a pretty effective sleeping aid.

Arizona Lawmakers Consider Funding Armed, Volunteer Militia

Are some of you aware that the President has decided to simply secede some of US land to illegal aliens and drug runners? There are parts of Pipe Organ National Park that are off limits to American Citizens. Signs are posted warning us to stay out. While we're helping people reclaim their countries in foreign lands we have decided to give up American land to Mexican citizens. How can this possibly be right? Isn't the main function of our government to defend our land from foreign invaders?

San Diego Law Enforcement Crack Down On Drivers Using Cell Phones

Note that the officer did not answer Maureen's questions about how dangerous it is to use a cellphone. He responded with a statistic about ANY type of conversation. By this logic it should be illegal to talk to a passenger in a car if it's just as dangerous as talking on a cellphone.

As we know it's not about safety--it's about making money for the state and local government. Need more proof--get his response to using a phone at a stoplight--they can cite the driver. Yeah there's a real danger there.

Governor Wants To Take Raising Taxes Straight To Voters

"Governor Wants To Take Raising Taxes Straight To Voters" No he doesn't want to, he has to. Not enough votes in the whored out state legislation. We successfully defeated his attempt to keep in place the "temporary" taxes. And we will again defeat this regressive sales tax increase on the poor and middle class hiding in the guise of making the rich pay their "fair share."

Most Unauthorized Immigrants In U.S. Are Long-term Residents

I'm not sure why this is suppose to be a surprise. Our government doesn't enforce our immigration laws. And the state with the largest population of illegal aliens, California, does everything they can to protect them.

Calif. Governor Asks Voters For Tax Increases

Here we go again. We need to feed the Democrats' union task masters. We are in the top three states for income, sales, and car tax. They just passed a bill to give illegal aliens access to $65 million in school grants (they lied and said it was $40 million), they just increased some university heads, and lawyers, salaries 8 to 20%, and they've already spent $12+ million on PR to convince us to go all in on the potentially greatest boondoggle in state history--the "high" speed rail.

Just say no.

Science Vs. Spirituality: An Interview With Deepak Chopra And Leonard Mlodinow

The problem is Chopra doesn't just represent the spiritual side of the debate. He also represents pseudo-science and non-science based medicine--what used to be called quackery. It has been a common technique, of late, for believers in pseudo-science to invoke quantum physics to "prove" everything from ghosts, to psychic readings. All of this is harmful to a scientifically ignorant society like we currently have in the US.
