According to the San Diego County District Attorney's Office, there are an estimated 10,000 known gang members in San Diego County.
A gang consists of three or more people. The DA says that group has a common name or identifying symbol. Their primary activity is crime. And the group has demonstrated a pattern of criminal activity.
