I agree. Put the money towards the internet and the rest of the libraries. A big downtown library is no longer needed and would not be used as much as the neighborhood libraries.
I am very excited about Ponyo. I have loved most of Miyazaki's other films (Spirited Away being my favorite).
I am worry that the about the lack of a true antagonist. I did not care for "Kiki's Delivery Serivce" because of the omission. However, it is a Miyazaki film so it will most likely be better than "Kiki's."
I live in an condo complex and we as a complex have to pay for trash and recycling pickup. I think it could save the city a ton of money if everyone only had to pay a small fee. Even my parents who own their home (single family dwelling) believe that the city should charge for trash pick up.
Or you could just be like me and my wife: - Plan a water sipping garden, - Rip out everything in the back yard, - And then never get around to planting anything so now we use no water.

Cal Fire's Supertanker Contract Canceled In Budget
I am okay with not having exclusive use of the plane and saving the money.
By the time the DC-10 is called in to fight the fire, it is mainly for show. Most of the water is vaporized well before it can get near the fire.

On the Press Line with Neil Gaiman and Henry Selick
Neil Gaiman films are great and family friendly, even if a little dark.
Plus, I like how they kept to the old fashion way of making stop motion animation.
