Donation Heart Ribbon

Let's Talk Turkey!

I will be grilling our 18 lb bird on the webber BBQ grill tomorrow, which is what we did last year (and worked really well). Christopher Kimball recommended cutting the bird into pieces - Breast/legs/thighs. Would that be a good idea to do on the grill?

Also, last year we made our own brine which also worked really well. This year we got a Fresh turkey which says its "brined". Is it then recommended I don't make my own brine?

Love the thanksgiving cooking show every year thanks!

Enjoying Holiday Foods

In our house we celebrated the winter solstice, with beef stroganoff made with the recipe from the betty crocker recipe card catalogue - ketchup and onion flakes even. Over the years, with the inclusion of vegetarians to the family, our traditional feasthas evolved to a portobello mushroom stroganoff, using sliced portobellos in place of the beef, and keeping everything else in the mushroom sauce. We look forward to it every year.
