With reference to 'anchor' babies.
If an American, for example, visits China and they have a child born while there, the child is automatically a Chinese resident.
Does the parent now have to go through the process to apply for American citizenship for the child and sit out the process for immigration and travel documents issued by US Embassy, or is the Chinese citizenship not even considered so the family can return to the US.
If so, here in the US they have it all wrong handing citizenship to one and all with a gravely messed up programme.
