I'm all for banning the plastic bags but I just can't see how 1 reusable bag will over it's life time replace 6 million plastic bags. I figure a reusuable bag is good for maybe 3 years, say it replaces 2 plastic bags because of increased capacity - that is still just a little over 300 bags over a 3 year life time. Even if the speaker was including the production of the bag, there is a big leap between 300 and 6 million! Over enthusiasm vs reality?
