Roundtable: More Filner Accusations

Bob Filner is doing to the citizens of San Diego the same thing he did to the women he victimized! By not resigning he is forcing himself upon us. We deserve a mayor who can devote himself to the crucial issues facing San Diego, I don’t see how he can do that during the intense behavioral program he described.
As far as him even bringing up the conduct of past generations, it wasn’t appropriate then either, and hasn’t been legally for more than twenty five years. What he is doing is destroying everything he has done in the past that was good, leaving his career in shambles. He’s become a national joke.
He’s going to bankrupt the city with his legal complications, and go down in history as the worst Mayor we’ve ever had.

I would like to say also that this is probably just the tip of the iceberg, As Amita Sharma said there are probably many more women Mr. Filner has treated in this manner, “…clerks, low level clerks, street sweepers….” You think they’ll come forward now, since their credibility will probably be questioned.

Ask This Old House: Repairing A Crack In An Asphalt Walkway; Getting Rid Of Mold

I love your show, although I live in an apartment, I've given pointers to several friends and family memebers that I learned on your show.

I am a grandmother, and mother of 4 daughters. Since we, as a family, are predominantly female , I am sensative to any programs that neglect to portray women in a positive manner.

I have noticed that your show rarely, if ever depicts women in positions of importance, unless they are the owners of houses being worked on, while even then they merely stand by and affirm the males expertise. I know there are women out there fully capable of filling these roles, so why are the experts invited in to do the work always men?

For the sake of little girls everywhere, please stop typecasting women in subservient roles. I would prefer you have no women on your show at all, after all you don't need them, to my girls watching women being essentially window dressing.
Keep up the good work,
Barbara
