This was a very heart rending story of Krystyna & Adam, who walked through life courageously. Surely, we need to have access to services to assist families when dealing with a devastating illness. My husbands uncle received excellent assistance from SD Hospice 3 years ago, when dying from cancer. But the disease didnt move as quickly as the doctors first thought and we were caught in a odd spot of wanting him to be with us longer, and fear of having to leave hospice program. I dont understand why there isnt more financial support for the course of these illnesses under Pallative Care with a smooth transition into the dying hospice phase. Wouldnt that make sense?
