Hoping A Vandalized Mural Becomes A Call To Action

No comments to something YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. It's called pride and it has nothing to do with gangs, but it includes them because they are part of the community, like or not. It has to do with being part of a community that inspite of it's problems manages to see the loving, gentler side of all its neighbors and neighborhoods, something I guess you know NOTHING about. You'll find it in every barrio across the country.

Bob Filner Says San Diego Needs To Make A Clean Sweep At City Hall

I never thought I'd be saying this, "go Bob", I liked what he said about investing in neighborhoods. No one, mayoral candidates, has even bothered to make it even a mention at all in their campaign, speeches, interviews, but Bob Filner, and I like that. Keep going with the neighborhood platform make this campaign real to us, regular folk.

I never liked his harshness when dealing with people or issues, but he did get some things done. He wasn't my congressional district rep., so I never really paid attention to his political views, just his personality and it turned me off. BUT now that he's running for mayor, real now, he does have the experience and he doest't take crap from anyone, and he does know his district and I'm assuming his people in that district--so he knows neighborhoods especially ours (usually at the BOTTOM of priorities). Personalty doesn't matter--does he get the job DONE! Yes, I think possibly he could. Never mind how I vote Demo or Rep it's not making a difference this election.

Bonnie Dumanis Says She'll Offer Leadership On Issues Facing San Diego

We met with B. Dumanis and she was a little removed from us to say the least damaging thing about her. I didn't find her personable, but distant. She has her CLASS of people and I have mine, and I better stay with mine.

Carl DeMaio Says He Wants To Clean Up City Hall

We asked him to meet with our organization SDOP (San Diego Organizing Project) and he wouldn't do it. I wonder what it was about the meeting that turned him off? I won't speculate, but he isn't that open minded, and willing to meet with EVERYONE as he says. Just certain people.

Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Jerry Brown Tours San Diego Biofuel

Rep. candidate Meg Whitman said she hasn’t made a final decision on the measure, but said her plan for a one-year moratorium on the law would be better for the state.

What decision could you make Meg? One-year moratorium would be better for the state? It's incredulous to think that she has not made a decision and that she would even consider a moratorium. What you are really saying Meg,? "I'm sure that the oil companies that finance my campaign are for this proposition (I may or may have invest in it myself, but I won't tell) therefore I will enforce a one-year moratorium. It doesn't matter if it's better/worse for the state, the people can eat cake for all I care."

This woman is soooo rich she has no clue as to how real people live. She is for big business because she is big business. Let no one doubt that, she will represent big business just as Schwarzenegger is.

Protests Against Arizona's Immigration Law To Spread Across California

I'm reading the pro and con about this illegal immigration bill in Arizona. Latinos wake up. There are good things coming from this terrible and irrational law. That is, not only taking care of our business in uniting us (joing forces) together as citizens of the US both Republicans and Democrats but, a coalition of other a like minded people of all ethnicities.

People, if they can come after us, legal and illegal alike, they will come after you. We're the experiment, if this law works for the state of Arizona it'll work for the rest of the country.
I believe we should be more inclusive about our country, laws which separate me from you are bound to create resentment on both sides. I say in this case, what do you think Jesus Christ would say about this law? About these tactics? About people using his name to call for racial profiling, using his name to sanction it? Good will come from this . . . whether you believe or not.

Activists Say Friendship Park Access Not Enough

I'm all for it. It's not a gateway unless you call it a gateway to the heart. If only the feds can see it that way, but I know what will do protesting, protesting and the more people who will help protest will get there attention. Letters to your Congressperson like Bilbray. Good going you guys let me know when the next protest is. I'll be there.
