Not sure about what research Cindy Marten's statements were based on. Sounded like she was just trying to cut the budget, with her statements about getting rid of the old, white teachers. I just wish the school board had given the minority community at least an opportunity to apply for the superintendent's job, before picking their close friend, no interview required, to be superintendent...one of those white ladies, she's trying to get rid of...well, her.Then Dr. Marten proceeded to choose a mostly white staff of her close friends, until people again complained.Fifty years ago, SDUSD did a nationwide search, to find the best and brightest of all groups, and the district teaching staff was well balanced. Fifty years ago, people weren't such political panderers...
