I concur with the poster who commented on the caller who claimed the UT's book reviews are nationally recognized. I wonder what this woman's been smoking. The Copleys fired the wonderful Arthur Salm over a year ago and closed down the book section--a move showing where their neanderthal heads were at. Conversely, they kept that lame movie critic David Elliott on the payroll years longer than he deserved to be there. The paper is a very strange thing these days--re that headline on the front page about the teabaggers that tried to say something about "ire." Didn't make sense. There are a lot of grammatical errors in the paper too, little things that demonstrate illiteracy is thriving. bob craven
