I have had so much trouble with Bank of America since the 5 bank settlement passed the Department of Justice in February. I have spoken with Bank of America at least 18 times since March and have gotten nowhere, even with their supposed "CEO office" of escalated calls. I know that we are qualified for the interest rate reduction per the settlement and meet every criteria laid out by the law - I have read the Attorney General's website - and yet I have not had anyone at BOA tell me that it is even being reviewed for the reduction. I would leave BOA if we were not "underwater." This is another scam by the banks - they are not working with current homeowners even though the law states they are supposed to be giving interest rate reductions. I would suggest that they are stalling so that when the rate increases it would not be advantageous for homeowners to seek this option. Please publish these concerns.
