San Diego May Day Protest To Focus On Arizona Immigration Law

There are many many studies that show that illegal (as well as legal) immigrants continue positively to our GDP. They are one of the major reason social security has not gone bankrupt. Turning AZ into a police state to try and enforce a broken immigration system does not make sense.

Illegal Immigration Debate Returns

We are a country of immigrants. The problem lies in that we do not have rational immigration laws and legal ways for many of these people to come here. We're still using the same quota system from the 1960s when we had a much smaller global population and had a less interconnected planet. Anyone that is willing to work hard and pay taxes benefits the economy, hands down. Telling someone that lived here since they were a little kid that they have no status and have to sneak back and forth is just wrong.

Study Finds Immigrants Generate 25% Of GDP In San Diego County

Our country will not continue to flourish without allowing immigrants starting small businesses. The new restrictions USCIS is imposing on H-1B visas and E investor visas is disheartening. The United States needs smart intelligent entrepreneurs to help pull us out of the recession. Allowing hard working immigrants into the U.S. creates jobs and a better quality of life for everyone.
