As the parent of an ADHD child and former elementary school principal, I've come to understand that parents are not the cause, but they can be part of the solution.
I became my child's greatest advocate. Since he attended my school, I got him Play Attention (www.playattention.com). It teaches skills that are needed like finishing homework on time, filtering out distractions, etc. I also used ADHD Nanny (www.adhdnanny.com). That program helps get chores done around the house.
Parents aren't the cause, but we can find options that help. We've got to do our research and change our parenting skills as well. I'm now part of the solution!
