This is not a new question by the Border Patrol. When I was a child at least 60 years ago our family visited Mexico. I remember sitting in the car in a long time while the street vendors tried to catch our attention to sell wares. After what seemed a long time, everyone in the car was asked individuallty if they were an American citizen. We were always happy to answer yes and glad to get home.
