Thank God, somebody finally woke up and saw the problem. I have seen some pot holes filed up while other pot holes right next remain unfilled. Couldn't figure out why. Thought the contractors were somehow just milking the system.
In this day and age, not many people and government agencies are trust worthy. Who knows if this is not another gimmick for DWR to lay the ground for rate hikes to come?
Well, a few years ago, the republicans in City Hall gave the then City Attorney Mike Aguirre a lot of headaches and eventually got him out of the City Attorney's office. Now that the democrats are in the City Hall, will the same fate be waiting for Jan Goldsmith?
When the republican city attorneys were working in sync with the republican mayors in the 1990s and early 2000s, we did not see as much in fight. But we ended up seeing the huge pension deficit by surprise.
Which is better? Don't we expect to see checks and balances in our governments?
I actually voted for Gary Kreep for the wrong reason. And I am sure a lot of people did the same and that was why he won in the election. I wish I had more information about him before the election. The election materials don't tell the voters enough about the candidate. I can easily say I am a family law attorney and I fight for justice for abused women and neglected children the in my statement without more and I guarantee that I will get the support of a lot of voters.
