This is NOT justice! The Supreme Court of the United States heard this case and they punted. They kicked it back down to the San Diego Supreme Court. This would have been a good chance to change Maranda rights to protect minors from the abuses that were shown in this case. Twelve and thirteen year olds do not have the maturity to understand that they don't have to answer the interrogators questions. That the answers they give will be used against them. That they can ask for an attorney at any time. That is why a parent or guardian must be present during questioning.
