Is America A Christian Nation?

The question "is America a Christian Nation" is a pretty simple one. The answer is yes, obviously, American was founded by Christians and hundreds of years later most Americans identify themselves as Christians. Our currency says "In God We Trust". So it's not really that difficult, is it?

Of course Christianity is not the state religion here as Islam is the state religion in Islamic countries. We don't whip you or chop your hand off if you criticize Christianity. It's in the constitution. Again not a real toughie.

But when you pose your question as dispelling the "dangerous myth of America as a Christian nation" it's plain you have no interest in these no-brainers. Your real purpose is to reinforce your anti-Christian message in the minds of those who can't think for themselves (KPBS audience).

No Fear Of Flying? Makes Perfect Sense, Experts Say

278 people are almost killed and we chuckle. Our leaders reassure us not to
worry, the system is working. We carry on with business as usual.

Contrast that with Winston Churchill's famous words about "blood, toil, tears
and sweat". Our parents were confonted with a "monstrous tyranny never
surpassed in the dark and lamentable catlogue of human crime". They did
something about it and five years later the problem was solved.

It's now 8 years since 2001 and we're still strip-searching little old ladies.
Another bombing? More strip searching. Another mass murder? We shake our
heads.

Where is a leader who will take on the enemy?

New Downtown Stadium Proposed For The Chargers

I just listened to an article on KPBS about corruption in the Afghanistan govt,
how it exists only to benefit the rich and powerful. Now we hear that Jerry
Sanders spends his time meeting with the Chargers so they can get public funds at a time when our libraries are closing and bus routes are shut down.

I don't think Afghanistan has libraries or buses either.
