I agree with the first commentator in princible, but i see no reason to reduce the registry. Simply categorize the offenders. Then the system could follow the most worrysome as well.l All but the mildest first offenders should have some GPS device. Most crimes and abductions can be narrowed by time and location and any GPSed criminal should be easy to identify, track and convict. The prospect of assured apprehension should deter at least some of these predators. And although it's of little consolation to that first victim of a repeating crime, at least they would be the last. One more removed from society!
