Lawsuit Filed To Stop La Jolla Fireworks

Kelvin - hm, well I imagine that the federal and state environmental impact laws that govern the permitting process cover environmental impact. the permit process must (and i admit to not being an expert) require some modicum of protection to the environment (that would include animals, I believe). But, my statement is actually quite simple: follow the laws that are set forth by our society. Laws are an inherent part of society. Laws are often enacted for the protection of those that are affected by them. If you want to have a big event at the beach, while you are watching the fireworks, you will also need an event permit for the park....

After listening to the end of your discussion, the same issue seems to be missed by many well meaning fans of fireworks: follow the law. The permit process is in place for a very good reason. Should we, as individuals, choose which laws we prefer to follow? And corporations?
Follow the law.
