Teen Review: 'Sucker Punch'

First off I had to admit I don't know too much about this film. I have not heard much about it or even seen previews. With that said I have to say this review left me completely confused. Lidia starts off saying she really liked it; okay, not confusing. But instead of talking about the stuff she likes, she totally disses the movie. Am I the only one that is confused by this? Yes costume, set design and what not are catching and important to a film, that's not the only thing that should catch your attention. No offense meant in any way Lidia, but you might as well said "I like pretty stuff and there was lots of it." So I guess what I'm trying to say is that you've made yourself sound like a stereo- typical teenage girl. Based on what I have read and what little I know, I have no desire to see "Sucker Punch" in theaters or when it is released.

Teen Review: 'Exit Through the Gift Shop'

I have honestly never heard of "Exit Through the Gift Shop" until I read this review. It sounds like the type of film that is meant to change a lot of people's point of view on street art, from ugly filth to a wonderful way of expression. I'm more than sure some people want to go and see this film now, but I have to admit I'm not one of them. I don't really understand why people are saying their should have been more details about the plot and other details most movies have because this isn't a movie, well it kind of is, but it's a documentary so there isn't going to be a plot. The point of a documentary is to just show real life stuff so there isn't really a plot to talk about. Even if this was meant as a prank film, it more than likely wouldn't have been much of a plot because the whole "documentary" thing.

Teen Review: 'It's Kind of a Funny Story'

I give Jesus Gomez two thumbs up for his review of "It's Kind of a Funny Story". He made me want to go out and see this movie. I loved the way he talked about the movie, giving some information about the story and telling some of what happens without giving everything away. I also liked how Jesus gave some background to the teenage suicide and depression issues, and that he made the issues easier for people to relate to by giving Tyler Clementi's story. I think his background info part will make people see what the film is actually about beneath the surface, since he said the film uses a "...love story... distracts you from the real issues". Which kind of covers up, or belittles, the true purpose of the story. All in all, great review by Jesus and I can't wait til I get to see this movie.
