I would like to speak as one who was intact until the age of 37.I chose to be circumcised for cleanliness reasons. Unless you think I did not keep clean, I would clean under my foreskin twice a day. While it was never "dirty", it did have a moisture build up and sometimes a slight musky smell. I found after my circumcision I had more, not less, pleasure sexually. My wife also enjoyed sex more. I had my 1st son at 40 and had his circumcision preformed at birth. He is now 22 and has 2 friends recently circumcised by choice (I don't know their reasons). My son is grateful that he avoided the pain of the procedure when grown. I can attest to the difficultly of the aftermath healing process. I am now 62 and still have more sensitivity than I did with my foreskin. If someone chooses to not have their child circumcised at birth, that is their decision, but do not acuse those who do of child tortue or abuse. I have spoken to many men both circumcised and not,and found very few circumcised that wish that they still had a foreskin, and the majority of intact men I have spoken with say they wish they had been ciricumcised at birth. Most will not do it later in life because of the pain and healing process. The argument that infants urine and feces cause more infections is not true. Infants heal much quicker than adults for all cuts, injuries, etc. If parents practice the basic infant cleanings, there will not be infections. This whole debate is puncuated by the people who want to control everyone else. Stay out of my business and I will stay out of yours.
