Filner Harassment Scandal Grows As Second Woman Comes Forward

I am astounded by the people who seem prepared to support Filner no matter what he has done to others. First they said that they wouldn't believe the accusations without evidence. Now that evidence is coming forward, many seem to be inclined to disregard it or pick it apart for lame reasons. At issue is credibility. Donna Frye has it. Filner and his supporters? Not so much.

Supporters Ask Filner To Resign Over Sexual Harassment Claims

I'm pretty surprise at the supporting comments for the Mayor despite the serious allegations against him. These allegations could be discounted if they were forwarded by the UT or other anti-Filner sources, but stalwart Democrats have leveled them. Also, loyal Filner supporters have recently resigned positions within his administration in protest to his conduct. How can there be any doubt that Filner is abusive, perhaps pathologically so?

Donna Frye has always shown herself to be a woman of integrity and grace. How could anyone attack her behavior or motives? If she believes that the Mayor engaged in repeated sexual harassment, I'm inclined to believe her.

Filner Says He Hoped For More Tranquil First 100 Days

Mr./Ms. Duck_SD: Mr. Filner's lack of communication isn't limited to Mr. Goldsmith, he has spurned the entire city council. I respectfully suggest that Mr. Filner talk to San Diego's leaders before he acts; even Republicans and those whose policies he disagrees with. He should work towards consensus, even if he can't achieve it. He should act respectfully. As it stands, he is dictating and getting nothing done.

Filner Says He Hoped For More Tranquil First 100 Days

The Mayor's heart may be in the right place, but it's obvious he doesn't know how to work with people. Any person, particularly a person in authority, doesn't like to be bossed around. It is amazing that Filner doesn't get it. Why did he think he could walk in on the first day and dictate?

Cruise Ships Arrive In San Diego Today

OK PBS, you tell us when the ships are going to arrive. How about informing us when they are scheduled to leave?

Editor Kent Davy To Leave North County Times

As a consumer of local news, I am very disappointed that my options for unbiased news has been further reduced. U-T San Diego publisher Doug Manchester relentlessly has pushed his uber-conservative views and pro-development agenda onto his unsuspecting readers since he purchased the paper in late 2011. I fear that the readers of the North County Times will be his next victims. Fortunately, we still have
