KPBS has a planned power outage, due to set up of our new backup generator, scheduled for Saturday, May 18th from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., impacting our live stream, FM and TV.

Ted Williams: A New San Diego Icon?

I remember going to Fenway Park to see the Boston Red Sox and
Ted Williams. In the 9th inning if the Sox were losing, it was obviuos
the game would be loss. No one left the Park if Ted would be comng to bat.
When Ted was leaving the Park I reached down and got one of his
valve caps from His tire and put it on my bike. I wished I had saved it.
