San Diego Kids More Likely To Get Dental Care Than Others In California

The problem is that dentistry is a monopoly that has become a luxury in the US. While dentists are lobbying for more dollars from wealthier Americans e.g. tooth whitening, botox, giving flu shots and vaccinations, 80% of them refuse Medicaid patients. 130 million Americans don't have dental insurance. Many of those with insurance can't afford dentistry's out of pocket expenses.

The solution is to allow Dental Therapists to work in the US as they have successfully done for decades in other first world countries. They will fill, drill and pull teeth in mouths and areas where dentists refuse to go and will cost less because their education only takes 2 or 3 years. The first US dental therapists are working in Alaska and Minnesota

However, organized dentistry, with its pockets full of corporate cash, lobby against DTs in every state that proposes legalizing them because dentists don't want any viable group infringing upon its lucrative monopoly

This dental health crisis has occurred under the guidance of the American Dental Association. It's time to mandate that all dentists accept more low income people if dentists continue to lobby against Dental Therapists. We can’t allow organized dentistry to continue to offer false remedies, such as fluoridation, as a fix for lack of dental care.

Fluoridation Is A Racist Policy?

More than 3,500 professionals (including 300 dentists) urge that fluoridation be stopped citing scientific evidence that fluoridation is ineffective and has serious health risks. See statement: http://www.fluoridealert.org/statemen...

Eleven US EPA unions representing over 7000 environmental and public health professionals are calling for a moratorium on fluoridation.

New York City Councilman Peter Vallone, Jr introduced legislation to stop fluoridation in New York City

New York State communities that stopped or rejected fluoridation include: Levittown, Canton, Corning, Johnstown, Oneida, Carle Place, Rockland County, Suffolk County, Western Nassau County, Albany, Beacon, Poughkeepsie, Central Bridge Water District, Homer, Ithaca, and Amsterdam.

The CDC reports that 225 less communities adjusted for fluoride between 2006 and 2008. Approximately, 90 US communities rejected fluoridation since 2008.

Fluoridation In San Diego Hits A Snag

Clearly Ellie Nadler is not up on current fluoride science as the CDC reports that the fluoride that emerges from saliva is to low to have an beneficial effect

The CDC says:“Fluoride works primarily after teeth have erupted…”“The concentration of fluoride in ductal saliva, as it is secreted from salivary glands, is low --- approximately 0.016 parts per million (ppm) in areas where drinking water is fluoridated and 0.006 ppm in nonfluoridated areas.

“This concentration of fluoride is not likely to affect cariogenic activity”

“The prevalence of dental caries in a population is not inversely related to the concentration of fluoride in enamel, and a higher concentration of enamel fluoride is not necessarily more efficacious in preventing dental caries.”

Fluoride is neither a nutrient nor essential for healthy teeth. Like all drugs, fluoride has side effects. See http://www.FluorideAction.Net/health

Contact your San Diego Councilor tell him or her that you don't them to put fluoride into your body via the water supply.

City Of San Diego Passes Water Rate Increase

The San Diego City Council caved to special interest groups and voted, and against their own better judgment, to add unnecessary fluoride chemicals into San Diego's water supply, fully knowing their constituents have voted against it repeatedly.

Now the people of San Diego are being forced to pay for their City Council's bad decision. It all stinks to me - no matter where the funds come from - they originate in tax payers pockets.
