Judge Rules Barrio Logan Community Plan Will Be Referendum On June 3 Ballot

I'd like to know how much the "Shipping Industry" (i.e. military contractors) paid to influence this public election by paying for signatures? It seems unethical for an industry that gets it's money from taxpayers to use that money to influence politics.

Also, we better not find out that the real powers behind the "Barrio Logan Community Plan" are more San Diego Land Developers looking to make bank by developing the port.

Mayor Faulconer Postpones San Diego's Email Deletion Policy

What is KPBS DOING? Don't you know that by exposing these email deletion policies they are stirring up PUBLIC OPINION against the city deleting all this evidence!!!

Doesn't KPBS know that these email, if exposed, will finger the Jacobs family's influence in city politics? Don't you have any institutional memory? Just last year KPBS worked with iNewsSource and accepted $million from the Jacobs Family to help 'investigate' the former Mayor. What do you think will happen when you expose all the private emails between the City Attorney and the Interim Mayor and those who work for the Jacobs family?

San Diego Discussion On Military Use Of Drones And Unintended Casualties

I'm building my own 'Anti-Drone' Unmanned Arial Vehicle - it has an explosive charge that will detonate when it get's close to another UAV and take it out.

The great thing about remote control robots is that they can be sent to do anything and you can't be traced or caught.

As we start getting Google cars, we will be able to load cars and trucks with explosives and send them to drive themselves anywhere!

UAV's are just an extension of efficient surveillance for fun. I use mine with a video recording smart phone to record my neighbors in their yard and through their windows.

San Diego Moving Ahead With 2024 Summer Olympic Bid

This is a perfect fit for San Diego, if combined with smart investments in ALL of our diverse cities and communities, we can make $billlions while creating the greatest tourist advertising campaign in history. This is just a great use of positive win, win, win for everyone. With the Olympics we strive toward excellence, and we can put surfing up as an exhibition sport. (and Australian Football )

We can redevelop Qualcomm (Jack Murphy) Stadium as an SDSU housing community, and build parking and a track/cricket/soccer stadium using PRIVATE money!

We can build out proper sports stadiums for specialized sports like velodrome.

Homeland Security has $27-Billion in a trust-fund to build a new airport that they stole from the SD Port District after 9/11 ( See Port Budget from 1999 )

Plan For San Diego Police To Wear Uniform Cameras Receives Support

Rialto Police reduced complaints by 88% and ended false claims of Police Brutality in just one year, using Taser Inc. cameras and recording servers. All police should be required to wear recording devices while on duty, and have the option of carrying them off-duty as well. Only good guys wear cameras.

Kevin Faulconer Sworn In As San Diego Mayor

I'm just glad that the we can over rule his Strong Mayor VETO.
Hey how about those Chargers, and their new stadium financed with public money?
Will that benefit hoteliers and land developers?
What about that publicly funded Convention Center Expansion?
Will THAT benefit the bankers and business owners downtown?
I'm sure we will help the neighborhoods in Southeast San Diego once Kevin Faulconer leaves office in 11 years. I can't wait for the new recreation center!

In Southeastern San Diego, The Fine Line Between Gang Policing And Gang Behavior

Good report, about time people started taking the side of the kids over the authorities.
Until we stop hiring PTSD Soldiers to be Cops and start requiring a college education for all police hires, we will never get rid of the 'Thin Blue Line' gang mentality. Police should be pursuing white collar criminals in suits and ties, in the Downtown high-rise offices, not the poor kids trying to get an education without resources.

San Diego Police Chief William Lansdowne Abruptly Retires

"San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore said in a statement that Lansdowne has had a long and distinguished career." - " Civil rights and civil liberties do not need to be sacrificed in the name of public safety. "

This is the guy who ordered the arrest of people registering voters in front of City Hall.

This is the guy who ordered the forced midnight attack on peaceful protesters in 2011.

Yea, real defender of civil rights.

San Diego Council Votes To Prohibit Access At Children's Pool During Harbor Seal Pup Season

I wonder how many harbor seals that the La Jolla marine reserve park can support? Just because Humans can't fish there, doesn't mean that it can't be environmentally destroyed.
