KPBS Strengthens News Service

Wow... as disappointing as the absence of Performance Today is, and that is substantial...

your rearranged scheduling of old shows and

addition of new shows, especially World Have Your Say and To the Point

Good work guys...

KPBS Strengthens News Service

I think this is a TERRIBLE move on the stations part!
24 hours of non-stop news???

After a long day of (mostly bad) News the best part of the 89.5 broadcast day is Writer's Almanac followed by Performance Today.

This break from the news programming gives you a chance to Digest, Ponder, Consider, Reflect on what this day has offered, and you and your family's place in it.

He reads the day and the date, someone's birthday, some poetry, some meaningful words... and its followed up with beautiful music... violins, pianos, guitars, harps, voices... reminding all there is so much to life.

It brings Balance.

I cannot even begin to count the number of authors and poets and composers and musicians that I have been introduced to by these two shows.

A Great Nation Deserves Great Art...

Also, "classical streaming internet channel" is not even close to being the same thing as listening to music played on an FM channel and you know it.

However, news shows and talk radio sound fine compressed and streamed at 32k and played on ear buds and a little one inch tall plastic computer speaker.

And can you please explain how:

6 hours of BBC World Service and 4 1/2 hours of Morning Addition help KPBS "fulfill its goal of being the premier local news analysis organization in San Diego"

A Great Nation Deserves Great Art...

There are already 10 million sources for NONSTOPNEWS... why add another?

A Great Nation Deserves Better.
