Prop 19 is nothing like the control, regulation and taxation of alcohol... HOW?
Because it's easier to grow it yourself? I'd really rather have stoners than drunks, though I partake of neither drug, myself.
The alcohol brewers who are paying for anti-19 ads certainly have a stake. They don't want to lose the exclusivity of their business of pushing beer and other spirits at kids, and they definitely don't want more alcoholics stepping off their drug for pot to save their swollen livers. Marijuana is apparently a VERY effective substitute for alcohol consumption, for people trying to get off a drug that is killing them far more quickly.
