The credibility of Bonnie Dumanis should be recognized by NPR prior to and following any and all interviews with the tarnished DA.
The inexcusable actions of the San Diego County District Attorney's office under the politically motivated control of Dumanis and her unprecedented team of "public relations" officers should not be ignored when the DA makes contradictory statements as she does in this interview.
If Dumanis were not such a hard core politician, she would have been embarrassed to spew such phrases as; diminishes the justice, undermines system of justice, makes people suspicious or distrusting of government when things like this happen, not out in the open and no due process considering the dishonorable prosecutions, politically motivated prosecutions and shaping of the bench that has occurred under her political reign as SD hed law offi.
Dumanis' office has been found guilty of exactly the same suspicious and distrusting actions she so adversely speaks of during this interview. In the cases of Cynthia Sommer, Operation Endless Summer (Green Rx, Eugene Davidovich, Jovan Jackson, James Stacy and many others) and the four or five judges that her office has boycotted at her political command and desire to control the prosecutions from the judge's bench.
It is a shame and less than honarable that NPR would ignore Dumanis and her well-known history during this interview when she had the audacity to say; "that's second guessing the judge", "that's putting yourself in the judges shoes which I don't think is ever a good idea". If Dumanis did not think it's a good idea to put herself in the judge's shoes, she would not have boycotted more judges than any other DA in history.
