In parts of Sydney, there must be a charge for plastic bags. It has been very successful. It is just expected that people take their own bags or use those in the recycling receptacle. It's easy!
My son has had weekly music lessons for years. His teachers have not been qualified school teachers. Wouldn't "any" music instruction be better than none? There are so many musicians who would make great adjunct part-time music teachers at the schools. Further, there are plenty of non-teachers who can instruct math, etc better than many formally trained teachers, so to refuse such talent simply because they aren't part of the Union of School Teachers is not using all the wonderful resources available
