The professor's research is spot on! The only thing she didn't touch on is the rampant cheating and lying. The "me bes" DO get into college, DO receive good grades, DO get jobs they are not qualified for, DO get promoted, etc. etc. They are so good at lying, cheating, and UP TALKING themselves! It's a way of life for them, they don't know any difference. This is how they live every day. And people fall for it because the “me bes” are very good at it. They’ve been doing it their whole lives. It starts in the home and is TOTALLY reinforced in our public schools. With teachers, coaches, administrators and so on. There are zero consequences for their behavior. It's just too big a mountain to climb. At most it's a "VERY gentle slap on the hand." John Wooden said it best: "Why are there so many who try and build up the weak by tearing down the strong?" This is what's happening. Oh, sorry, happened. And it’s not changing. If anything it’s getting worse.
