If someone proposed cutting off infant girls' labia in order to reduce her risk of cancer of the vulva, people would be outraged. In my opinion there is no ethical difference between using the lower risk of cancer of the penis as a justification for cutting off a boy's foreskin and using the lower risk of cancer of the vulva as a justification for cutting off a girl's labia.
Shame on Dr. Mohamed Bidair for using penile cancer as a justification for cutting the genitals of infant boys. More women die from cancer of the vulva than men die from cancer of the penis.
