California GOP Candidate: Brown Oversaw Middle-Class Downfall

The selective memory among Republicans is amazing.

For example, Kashkari ignores the fact that "little" things like the Great Recession of 2008 and the increased concentration of wealth in the hands of a few have had more to do with the downfall of the middle class than anything Gov. Brown did or did not do.

p.s. Another example is the Republicans screaming about President Obama being "soft" on Russia. However, when Putin moved in on the Republic of Georgia in 2008 and President Bush did nothing, the Republicans never had a word of criticism for the President.

Councilwoman Myrtle Cole Declines To Ask Filner To Resign

I believe Mayor Filner should resign because his ability to run the city is seriously impaired.

But I have one simple question: How many of you who are so critical of Ms.Cole now were demanding due process when George Zimmerman was charged? Yeah, I thought so. Only Republicans and their "heroes" are entitled to due process. Anyone else is guilty until proven innocent...and in some cases even if proven innocent.

Those who are so hypocritical have no right to talk about other people's moral character.

Myrtle Cole Hopes To Ride Supporters' Enthusiasm To City Council Seat

The mudslinging cuts both ways.

Crenshaw's people made an unfair and inaccurate claim questioning Myrtle Cole's ethics.

And a Crenshaw supporter falsely accused Cole's union--UDW Homecare Providers Union--of not supporting LGBT candidates.

Here's how UDW responded: "UDW does not and will not endorse a candidate just because he or she is LGBT. Our endorsements go to candidates who support UDW’s agenda of empowerment for the poor and for those who are victims of discrimination. The majority of LGBT candidates for public office clearly meet those attack a supporter of the LGBT community in order to advance someone’s candidacy is unfair and foolish."

I wouldn't suspect that many candidates who support UDW's agenda for empowerment for the poor and victims of discrimination get endorsed by the Lincoln Club, as Crenshaw did.

Supervisors Push For Changes To Homeless Funding Formulas

And who winds up paying the bill for "shipping them all back"? Maybe the homeless can put their bus fares on their American Express Cards...LOL. Of course it will wind up being the taxpayers.

Really 123 probably has the same "solution" for undocumented workers...transport 11 million of them and their families to the border and dump them into Mexico.

H.L. Mencken was right: "For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong."

Sorry you've lost yours, Art.

Guess you weren't listening to Sinko before the primary, when he showed his true colors.

Voters May Decide Whether To Impose Term Limits On S.D. County Supervisors

There are two compelling reasons for term limits for supervisors.

The first is a matter of fairness. Either everyone should have term limits or no one should. Our state legislators, our governor, our president, and even the SD City Council have them, so why shouldn't the Royal Supes. (By the way, have you noticed that Supervisors who are telling us how bad term limits are have NEVER come out for their repeal for state legislators.)

The second concerns arrogance and corruption. Here's what the chairman of U.S. Term Limits has said: "It seems the longer politicians are in office, the more likely they are to rip us off for their own benefit--rewarding the donors who funded their campaigns and the special interests who keep them in power rather than the people they should be serving."

Amen! Yes to Term Limits!
