Busting The Big Property Tax Myth

Well, this is one myth that I was looking forward to be busted. While I still suspect that our property taxes are somehow used elsewhere, it is nice knowing that taxes are used well to fund schools. Some people think that better schools are found closer to better properties, and I still find it quite believable though there are reports to suggest otherwise.

Beyond Sprawl: Rethinking Residential, Cul-De-Sacs For The Future

The future of housing is probably left to the students today who are going to be the developers and designers of tomorrow. Greener housing seems to be much of their focus, and this residential plan sure looks promising.

Habitat For Humanity Starts Building In Imperial Beach

Housing is a huge problem for low income families especially when property costs and taxes are high. Groups like this bring new hope to those that want to own a home but cannot afford to. I hope they do not restrict the occupants to only those in the same religion.

Maritime Museum Rebuilds 500-Year-Old Spanish Ship

This is a great community project that will involve many people who would otherwise be downtrodden and ding nothing else. Getting the volunteers together and working on the ship will help them appreciate the history more and help to contribute to the town's revival. i will definitely be looking forward to the day they open their doors to tourists.

This Old House: Barrington Project, Part 1 Of 10

Though they have to account for the strong winds arising from the ocean, the good thing about that property is that if the house left windows and doors open, the house is naturally cooled. Hoping to see how this project will turn out.
