I live in TJ/Chula Vista and cross the border everyday. The waits have little to do with the southbound inspection and are caused by the customs workers in TJ setting up all kinds of barriers with cones, pickups and metal tubes. People in TJ have been complaining bitterly because of the lack of sensitivity by the customs workers to the people who cross everyday and the people who have stopped going to TJ because of the lines. TJ's Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Tourism Bureau are on the case. There were some changes this monday and the wait has been a lot better. All the agents had to do was use a little common sense.
