What are the groups that the people on the program represent? Who funds these groups? I mentioned this to Tom Karlo at Osher last week and he thought that this was a valid point. Who are these people speaking for?
Here is something spooky: I just listened to Joanne Faryon's interview with the ACCE rep and the question about the funding and union backing has been deleted. I will try to track this down.
If you listen to the full 4:29 minutes of Joanne Faryon's interview on Tuesday with the ACCE representative he admits that the it is government unions backing the report, the demonstrations, etc. For some reason KPBS seems to have glossed over that in the written report of the interview and in Eric Anderson's report this morning.
I am curious as to why Eric Anderson failed to mention that this group is funded by various labor unions and is not really a spontaneous movement. As was pointed out yesterday in your own noon news show, this is just the latest in a series of protests by labor unions, especially government labor unions, who have a vested in increased tax revenue from any source. Why not do a follow-up report on this group, including who funded the "new report?"

99 Percent Rally At Two San Diego Banks
It's actually in the full Maureen Cavanaugh piece during the noon show on Tuesday. She also interviews the ACCE rep -- I got my interviews mixed up.

Report: California's 1% Hurting State's Recovery
Why is there no mention of Joanne Faryon's question about the funding of the report and the fact that basically it is a government union activity.
