Survey: Majority Of San Diego Latinos Feel Some Discrimination

"On a recent weekend afternoon, Maria Mora was waiting for a client at the hair salon she owns in Normal Heights. Mora was born in Guadalajara, Mexico but has lived in San Diego for 22 years...." Twenty-two years and she still has to speak in Spanish when interviewed? She will always be an outsider if she doesn't learn English. BTW, did she come here legally? If not, no whinging please.

Supporters Ask Filner To Resign Over Sexual Harassment Claims

When did these liberal democrats become "progressives," or is a better question when did KPBS buy into this designation? Was it when "liberal" became a dirty word?

Gov. Brown Lays Out Deeper Cuts As Projected Deficit Swells To $16B

What are the groups that the people on the program represent? Who funds these groups? I mentioned this to Tom Karlo at Osher last week and he thought that this was a valid point. Who are these people speaking for?

99 Percent Rally At Two San Diego Banks

It's actually in the full Maureen Cavanaugh piece during the noon show on Tuesday. She also interviews the ACCE rep -- I got my interviews mixed up.

99 Percent Rally At Two San Diego Banks

Here is something spooky: I just listened to Joanne Faryon's interview with the ACCE rep and the question about the funding and union backing has been deleted. I will try to track this down.

If you listen to the full 4:29 minutes of Joanne Faryon's interview on Tuesday with the ACCE representative he admits that the it is government unions backing the report, the demonstrations, etc. For some reason KPBS seems to have glossed over that in the written report of the interview and in Eric Anderson's report this morning.

Report: California's 1% Hurting State's Recovery

Why is there no mention of Joanne Faryon's question about the funding of the report and the fact that basically it is a government union activity.

99 Percent Rally At Two San Diego Banks

I am curious as to why Eric Anderson failed to mention that this group is funded by various labor unions and is not really a spontaneous movement. As was pointed out yesterday in your own noon news show, this is just the latest in a series of protests by labor unions, especially government labor unions, who have a vested in increased tax revenue from any source. Why not do a follow-up report on this group, including who funded the "new report?"
