Study: Good Night's Sleep Cleans Out Gunk In Brain

Wow. Recently, I worked so much I was unable to get anything new done. I came home and napped for an entire afternoon and now I"m back to burning out the work. Interesting.

Rants And Raves: 'Breaking Bad'

Hi Beth,
Thanks for an insightful review. I would have missed the Felina or blood/meth/tears connection, but as a former English major I didn't miss Ozymandius. Did Walt have an Ozymandius moment, tho? I don't think so. I think he was pleased with his "accomplishments." Which leads me to a cultural interpretation. Are we forcing men to be more relationship oriented than they are programmed to be? The ultimate high in Walt's life was his creative endeavor, not his family, as he claimed. I think of Moneyball author Michael Lewis book about fatherhood where he says something like, "there's a gap between how much I'm supposed to love the kids and how much I really do." Forgive me if I have the wrong source. Maybe I've just been single too long . . .
But! sure did love Breaking Bad. I'm sure you've binge watched "Orange is the New Black." Love that one and can't wait for next season!

Bob Filner And The Monster Within

The limits and complexity of the human mind that Filner demonstrates drives me to watch stuff like LA Shrinks and Catfish, too. We baffle ourselves! There are too many variations of dysfunction to ever settle on one answer, I guess.
