'Ruined' Is The Play To See This Season

It is hard to explain what it is about this production that settles into you and stays with you. I saw it this past Friday night and there are moments in my day when I randomly think about one of the scenes. I'm no professional critic but the acting was wonderful and the sets at LJ Playhouse are always so well done, right down to the smoking of real cigarettes. Something about having the smoke waft through the theatre added a certain texture to the play.

As corny as this will sound, seeing it the day after Thanksgiving had me writing a new gratitude list. The strife the people of the Congo have and are still dealing with is mind boggling. It got me thinking of how vulnerable we as women are, especially in the physical sense.

In other words get out and see this if you can.

TV: Thoughts On New Season Of HBO's "True Blood"

You've summed it up completely. I too can't seem to get on the Sookie band wagon but Snoops video is brilliant, so funny. Pre-season I was a bit worried about the Werewolf addition but have to admit they've done a great job with them. Doesn't hurt that Sookie's new friendly Were is downright hot!

Question I have is how different is Sam from Cooter besides that he is much more civilized and not a Nazi? They both shift from human to canine. Granted Sam can shift to any animal that helps him out of deathly situations, but he prefers his sweet collie alter when shifting. Will we see him in a face off with a ferocious Werewolf only to be saved by his newly discovered Pit bull loving brother? Are there female Werewolves or is that a stupid question? ahhhh so many revelations to look forward to!

TV: HBO's 'Treme' Continues to Disappoint

And all this time I thought it was me! I've been trying so hard to get into this show. Yes my expectations were high but I do feel like I've given it more of a shot than I usually would. The music is fabulous and it was nice at first to be re-united with some of the stars of The Wire but I'm finding it difficult to put much effort into being loyal to David Simon for much longer. The disappearance of John Goodman's character will have me watching the finale but we'll see if I'm dedicated enough to the cause to watch next season.
