I think hospice is still saving medicare money vs Dr & Hospital care. Not sure why costs went up 4x. People often live longer on hospice because they don't pick up MRSA bacteria from hospital visits. Also (in my Dads case) the hospice nurses are good, and care about their patients. Sadly, he died rapidly.
