Soldiers In Afghanistan React To Change In Breakfast Service

So thankful that you posted comments from primary sources. How/where can these comments get out to main-stream media? Everyone, everywhere is reporting this as a myth (and pushing it under the rug). I don't think that main-stream America realizes that our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines are at the mercy of the base services... they don't have the option of going to get food off-base. I also don't think that most civilians understand what an MRE is, how it tastes or even the scary long shelf life. While we are all about eating more healthy we are feeding our heroes garbage that will outlive us all?

No More Breakfast For US Troops In Afghanistan?

So, you have interviewed soldiers in Afghanistan and have first hand knowledge that this is not true? Because the story they are telling is much different. First, there were NO breakfasts, then due to backlash they now have MREs (disgusting, cheap, boxed meals meant for taking when you go into a combat situation and cannot be near facilities). Why would we feed prisoners (even terrorists at Guantanamo) better than we are feeding our nation's heros. Our soldiers are working hard and making money... but they don't have the luxury to go through the drive-thru. They are confined to base and thus provided or denied meals based on our government's decisions.
