The world we live in has changed immeasurably. We have the greatest inventions and the internet; we still have poverty and the homeless.
What has not changed is the selfishness and the insensitivity of corporations.
Here is what SeaWorld's San Diego executive had to say regarding the lay-offs:
David Koontz of SeaWorld San Diego said the layoffs cut across a number of areas of the park.
"The restructuring will not impact at all the high quality of care we give our animals," Koontz said.
Not one word of the impact on the humans released. Not a kind word that at least acknowledges them and the fact that SeaWorld or the parent company regrets having to lay-off some of its employees.
Happy Holidays, Mr. Koontz. I suggest you keep looking over your shoulder!
